The article of the month in January 2026 is a paper written by
Pedro Afonso Cardoso Manarin and Everton Da Silva, Brazil:
Application of the Fit-for-Purpose Land Administration related to the
concepts of the Social Tenure Domain Model in irregular urban areas in
Brazilian Municipalities. The paper was presented at the
FIG Commission 7 and 8 of the UFSC FIG Joint Land Administration
Conference in Brasil and examines how fit-for-purpose (FFP) land
administration and the Social Tenure Domain Model (STDM) can improve
multipurpose land cadastre systems in areas of irregular occupation.
