 | ArcGIS Parcel Fabric for Modern Cadastral Systems: by Esri
With increasing uses of parcel data, accuracy and completeness are
critical. In this workshop attendees will learn about the Parcel
Fabric data model and how to extend it for their organization's
data. The parcel fabric supports an authoritative system of record
for land management, with each parcel tied to a legal document that
allows historical lineage to be easily viewed and changes to be
tracked. The workshop will cover several key components of the
parcel fabric including: easy data migration, extensibility,
parcel-based measurements (COGO), land transaction/survey record
management, built-in quality control and configurable workflows. |

 | TS03C: Crucial Role of Governments to achieve SDGsCommission: FIG Task Force SDG
 Chair: Ganesh Prasad Bhatta
 Rapporteur: Marisa Balas

Join us for a session dedicated to the role of governmental
bodies to discuss their pivotal role in achieving the 2030
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Governments have a crucial
role with the implementation and raising awareness of the SDGs.
We will discuss about the SDG’s that are fundamental to the core
tasks of the government to increase tenure security and women’s
access to land: SDG 1 and SDG 5. The data to show progress on
the indicators related tenure security (1.4.2) and gender
equality (5.a.1 and 5.a.2) is lacking globally. At the same time
progress is happening but not (enough) reflected in the
reporting. What can we do to make sure that more data is
available and progress can be shown? Engage with experts, share
experiences, and gain practical tools to make a significant
impact. Together, let's pave the way to a sustainable and more
equitable future! John Gitau (Kenya): Global Land Indicators Initiative - Challenges and Opportunities to Secure Land Tenure (13577)

By integrating the SDGs into academic curricula, we can equip
future professionals with the tools, knowledge, and mindset
needed to transform their communities and the world. But this
goes beyond just teaching—it’s about inspiring action, fostering
innovation, and cultivating a generation of changemakers who see

This year's Academic Form has the privilege of the presence of
the University of Southern Queensland (USQ). USQ is the only
remaining teaching university in Queensland for Land Surveying.
The programme topics are about the Global Challenges in Academia
and how they are affecting Queensland, Australia. Talking about
Global Challenges, the following topics could be a good starting
point for discussion: - Artificial Intelligence in Education
				(proper usage or misuse);
 - Decreasing number of students
(and academicians) in the Geospatial programmes; and
 -
Well-being of students and academics after Covid and Social
				Media influences.
Associate Professor Glenn Campbell from USQ
and the Chair of FIG Commission 2 Dr. Dimo Todorovski from the
Netherlands will be the main speakers in this interactive
				Academic Forum session.
